Houston Tx 24 Hour Fitness
But my recent experience at 2. Hour Fitness, Empprium, Mesquite, TX was too unbelievable to pass up. I regained my composure looked at the worker and told him he should place something over that cord before someone stumbled, fell and hurt themselves. He looked back at me and said I should watch where I was going. Of course I am frustrated by his look and speech. Again, I tell him the cord stretched across the main walkway is a safety hazard.
He stares at me and goes back to his work. I observe person after person either almost trip or stumble over the electrocardiogram cord. After approximately 1.
I call the front office from my cell. I speak with a lady named Mc.
Kenzie, Mamager on duty. She says the primary manager is not at the facility but she would personally look into the matter. Approximately 5 minutes later, the worker leaves the area. He returns, unplug the extension cord, throws it over some equipment and returns to work on the treadmill. Now, he has all of his tools, equipment and the enters ion chord in the aisle directly behind the treadmill causing people to walk through his work area or around it. Not believing g what I am seeing, I again call the front desk and speak to Mc. Kenzie. I tell her the present situation and ask if they have a y of the safety hazard cones to mark off the area while the employee does the work because this was truly an unsafe environment.
She stated the manager was present and she would advise him. I thought sure, just like you were going to personally handle the prior call. Not one person had co.
I proceed to the treadmill for my final workout. The worker is gone for approximately 2.
The work area is left unsafe and unsupervised for that long. The worker finally returns and begins work once again on the treadmill. I finish my workout and depart. I guess none of it ever impacted me because I am usually in and out. It doesn't impact you until you are touched by it.
If you want to know why this business isn't going to survive .. Gone out of business because we didn't know what our business was! You are not in the Fitness Business .. You are in the People Business.
When someone takes this much time to write these many words .. There is a culture here that starts at the top. Get rid of everyone and start all over. Happy New Year. Compared to other gyms available the area.
This should be your LAST choice. No employee walks around to pick up things or make sure it's clean, or in the locker rooms either. IDK who is managing this place but it's a disgrace to 2.
I used to love it 4- 5 years ago but it sucks now. Fire the manager please. Equipment and staff were below par. This place is about taking your money, not becoming apart of your fitness journeys.
There is dirt/dust and grime everywhere (bathroom floors and walls, machines, weight area floors, essentially everywhere you look). The place is good generally 9/1. BUT , in every gym I've been before , there are some trainers or stuff members that walk around and check if someone is doing some workout wrong , 2. I think should be a must .. Without going in to a lot of detail, I will just say that if you go do not bring anything of value.. LOCKED locker. Also, the locker room and bathrooms are rarely clean. Ugggh.. I would not recommend anyone going here.
Glad I left and found something much nicer and much cheaper. For a Super Sport Club, I'm actually pretty disappointed. I felt let down when I walked through the gym.
The machines were def showing it's age. Sure the common area is all new, shiny and sparkly but the weight machines looked like the 1. There is no power rack. Most of the equipment is kind of old.
Only the barbell weights are new. As always, there are those individuals that love leaving weights around without re- racking. When I went into this club the salesman acted like a starving used car salesman. I had a 3 day pass that I printed off the internet. He kept telling me I had to pay the first day in order to get the 5. He told me this club has a lot more amendments than the Rockwall club, which in my opinion is not true. This club charges $1.
Rockwall. When I told him I would probably use the Rockwall club he no longer assisted me in any way. I also asked him to take my measurements and he didn't do it after I said I was going to use the Rockwall club. I originally switched to this gym because I was tired of my old gym hitting me with hidden equipment fees and other fees that I did not remember signing up for in the first place, so first thing I asked these people behind the counter before signing up is if I was going to get hit with any of these hidden fees they said ? After questioning them about the situation they just told me . Just thought this might be helpful for somebody signing up thinking that they're not going to get charge with hidden shit throughout the year, hopes this helps someone out there. They have a wide range of classes.
I like the pool and sauna area also. Just wish they had a hip hop exercise class. We signed up thinking we were getting 3. I) That was the promotion. Turns out we didn't.
We have been members of this place off and on for years, we work out of state a lot so we join and leave when we can. NEVER AGAIN, the pool area needs a coat of kilz bad, then paint. I have reported by text all the machines that I used that were broken, there are tags on each one to let you text in the id of the machine and issue.
The bathrooms stink, they don't pay attention to what is on the 2. I called to speak with the corp office no one ever called me back, called back and cancelled the membership. Very disappointing for the price. I would like to give it 0 stars, but can't. This place is disgusting. There's dirt sitting on the steps of the pool along with algae. The swim classes are overcrowded with people wearing nauseating perfume which they haven't washed off before getting into the pool, because they don't rinse first.
Because of the overcrowded classes, the pool is not cleaned often enough (one time a week). It's cloudy and should be reported to the health department- (still might do it). The Jacuzzi is filled with bubbles (and dead skin) and is nauseating. I don't know how often they clean it- obviously not often enough. Dumping chlorine in the pool or Jacuzzi doesn't clean it. Disgusting. The gym is good for me, but not great.
I appreciate a place open 2. I work nights and like to work out after work. Facility is starting to age, but the staff is friendly and so are most of the other members. Quite possibly the most disgusting locker room I have ever set foot in. I'm pissed that I'm stuck with this place for a year. I use the Rockwall location when I feel like making the drive.
Is it so hard to mop up the water on the floor every now and then? I come in wearing my work clothes and the bottoms of my nice pants get soaked with pool water and whatever else is flooding the bathroom that day. The gym itself is okay, but just okay.
They won't get anymore of my money after this year is over. This is my home gym but I have to tell ya, if you don't know the right times to get in this place, you can really hang up trying to get on . They keep this place immaculate, even down to its patrons. I did some yoga lessons here and they were pretty intense. We know the locks were cut off because the lock was left in the locker cut in half. This happened to my husband in November and it happened to me this past weekend. My locker was one in the hallway where there are cameras and a lot of people walking through.
There were 3 other lockers broken into on Saturday. The management should review the film and, at a minimum revoke the membership of the thief.
After all this is someone that had to check in at the front desk, it shouldn't be too hard for the staff to identify the thief. One staff member told my husband that it happens everyweekend. Someone had to pull out a pair of bolt cutters and cut the locks. This gym is a total disater.
The renovations have been GREAT! Too bad you can't get to enjoy them unless you go super early or super late.
With the closing of the Galloway location and the new people joining due to the new look and equipment, and eventual outdoor family pool area, it's been a nightmare to park, use the equipment, and my favorite classes have been especially crowded. It's no wonder they stay open 2. I've pretty much started working out at home to avoid the crowds.
